This past Saturday we had over 160 volunteers, from 54 local families come together to benefit 8 area agencies for our second annual Family Volunteer Day, which was generously sponsored by Rich Products.

Volunteers completed projects all over – from Buffalo, to East Aurora, to Tonawanda and Cheektowaga. They cleaned at the Boys and Girls Club of East Aurora, planted trees at Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper, gardened at Buffalo Olmsted Parks, decorated shopping bags at Catholic Charities, weeded at the Frank Lloyd Write Fontana Boathouse, beautified the campus grounds at Hospice Buffalo, made cards and crafts at Upstate New York Transplant, and created murals for West Side Neighborhood Housing services. To top it off, all these volunteers were able to help while spending time with their families, and connecting with our community.

Events like this not only help strengthen family bonds, but they also help agencies in our communities that have limited resources. By coming together as a family these volunteers not only helped agencies but all the people that they served. From our family to yours, we’d like to say THANK YOU to everyone involved in our second annual Family Volunteer Day!
